ABOUT JEREMY
Jeremy Baker is a prolific creator of imaginative theatre and video. As director, designer, writer, educator and performer with over 30 years professional experience, he has challenged the boundaries of what can be done in the realms of educational theatre and media
Straight from college with a BA in Theatre Performance, he leapt into television as Bozo the Clown on the weekly BOZO’s Super Sunday Spectacular! His love for kids and video later pushed him to design and implement the acclaimed TV series RCTV, an NEA funded program with a fast paced and refreshing take on Art Exploration. Students in grades four through twelve worked on all levels of production, from writing to camera operation and performance. Show topics included Tiny Art, Art in the Dark, Food Art, and Art in the Sky.
As Director and Designer, Jeremy has always been driven to explore what is possible on stage, while staying firmly rooted to the script and honesty of each production. He became one of the earliest adopters of live and recorded video in live theatre, adding to some of his most vibrant and memorable productions, including The Wizard of Oz, Starry Messenger, The Three Musketeers, The Diary of Anne Frank, Time Flies, Schoolhouse Rock Live, The Play That Goes Wrong, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Disney’s Mulan, The Little Prince and Clue the Musical.
Jeremy’s Video Directing has garnered IParenting and Parent’s Choice Awards and has run the gambit from TV pilots, to stop frame animations, dog training videos, web series and commercials. His work is currently on view as creator for CarryTale Studios TinyTales, Jurassic Limericks and MusicTales series of videos on Youtube.
As an actor he has performed with Disney’s Acting Company, the N.Y. Metropolitan Opera, Miami’s Actor’s Playhouse, Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach and others.
In 2017 Jeremy received the Richardson Distinguished Teaching Chair at Saint Edward’s School in Vero Beach, FL. in recognition of his outstanding work in education.
Jeremy is a proud, long standing member of Actor’s Equity Association, a life long learner, a devotee of kids and art and thrives on creative collaboration.
